Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant who will be primarily focused on Accounts Payable, employee business travel expense accounting, and related documentation management in Ukraine. In addition to ensuring accurate accounting processes, you will act as a key point of contact for employees across the business, supporting them with travel expense submissions, documentation requirements, and accounting-related queries. Also this role involves collecting, verifying, and maintaining original accounting documents, ensuring complete and accurate records in line with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and verify Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and employee business travel expenses.
- Review, process, and verify employee expense reports in Concur (internal travel system), ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting documentation requirements.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate expense postings.
- Maintain accounting of advance payments, monitor outstanding balances, and control prepaid expenses.
- Perform manual expense reclassifications and reconcile data between Concur and SAP.
- Record import VAT and customs duties.
- Prepare accounting reports and support month-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting and tax requirements, corporate accounting policies, and global business travel policies.
- Maintain proper filing and archiving of accounting and supporting documentation.
- Support balance sheet reviews, internal controls, and internal/external audit activities.
- Prepare statistical and other mandatory reports.
- Provide backup support within the accounting team and perform other accounting-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on Accounts Payable.
- Experience working with accounting documentation, including collecting, reviewing, and maintaining original documents.
- Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and support internal employees.
- A proactive, process-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams is an advantage.
- Previous experience in the FMCG industry is preferred.
- Intermediate level of English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of 1C and experience with SAP and Concur will be an advantage.
